You got a fast car, is it fast enough so we can fly away?

Can you believe it's already december? I feel like I've read this on almost every single blog during the past 3 days, but this year sure has gone by fast! When I think about how much has happened and changed in only 11 months, I need to stop for a second to take it all in.

It was my Birthday last Tuesday, which means I'm finally 17. The fact that I'll be 18 in less than a year scares and excites me at the same time. but for now, I can enjoy the fact that, as a girl, at 17 you basically get into any club here in Luxembourg - no more shaking hands when I hand the security guy my I.D.! Also, I feel like 17 just sounds so much more "grown up" and not so much like a child as 16 does - but I might be alone on that one.

I had dinner at my dad's house on my Birthday and I could choose the menu - you wouldn't believe how much tiramisu I ate that night. We had a really good time, it was so nice to be with my dad for once on my birthday as I usually celebrate with my mother's family.

I went out with a few of my best friends on Friday and we had an absolute blast! The seniors of a school in Luxembourg had organized a "free beer" at a bar in the city, which means you pay 10 euros and can then get as much beer as you want. As beer is pretty much the only thing I drink anyways (except for the occasional tequila or a mojito if i can afford it...), this was freaking amazing! such a great night.

Then on saturday night, we went to an indian restaurant i'd been wanting to go to for a while - this time with my mother & stepfather. The food was so delicious, words can't even begin to describe it. I just love Asian food, especially Indian.
I shared an almond-prawn curry and a chicken biryati with my mum, we had some garlic & butter naan on the side and a mango lassi as a kind ob "apetizer". The prawn curry was definitely my favourite; spicy and creamy because of the almonds - fantastic. Afterwards, we were all so full we could barely move, but it was definitely worth it.

I took these pictures with the camera I got for my Birthday, the Canon eos60D. I am still figuring out ho to use it properly and I am having so much fun with the manual focus and different aperture and time settings.

The last two weeks have been pretty tough at school as christmas holidays are coming closer, but so far I'm pretty happy with the results from my class papers.

To end this post, a cover of "Fast Car" by Boyce Avenue and Kinna Grannis  i (re)discovered this week:
