OOTD: floral pants two ways

When the weather got almost spring-like this week i couldn't wait to wear these pants again!
I tried wearing them with a sweater and boot during the colder months but somehow it just never felt right. The darker colors i tend to go for with my boots and sweaters in the winter are too harsh of a contrast with the quite delicate floral print in my opinion and also, my winter coat is red & blue plaid - not something you want to wear over floral print jeans.

I got these jeans last summer and as they're from dr.denim, they are incredibly comfortable. I love that they're high-wasted - they look so cute with cropped tops in the summer. They instantly make me feel like spring and put me in a good mood everytime i look down to see floral instead of the usual black leggings.

I couldn't really decide which of the two outfits i wanted to wear but then went with the more comfortable option (what a surprise really). I really like the way the sporty trainers and sweatshirt look with the white shirt and floral print jeans, relaxed but still somewhat elegant(well in my opinion at least). It probably would have been a bit cold in the morning with ballet flats anyways.

So, enough with the talking, here are the outfits, i hope you like them!
What are your favourite ways to wear floral?

random

Just a few pictures i took this afternoon when i should have been studying but really didn't feel like doing so.

I got this sweater in Australia last year and i freaking love it. It really is the perfect throw-over for the beach, as you can see your bikini through the cutout in the back, and it's very loose so you won't get too warm but the long-ish arms still cover you up.

Remember how i said that my converse survived the summer in quite good condition? Well that has changed since i wore them to a party last weekend -  but the used look is in right?

Hope you're all having a good week, hopefully with a bit more free time than i have.

Wishlist by lisaconzem

Recently, i've found myself thinking more and more about spring clothes - which is not very fitting, seeing that i'm living for Serfaus to go skiing tomorrow. But the weather has simply been so awful for the last week or so that i can't help but dream of the sunny days that will hopefully come soon enough. Seriously guys, this rain is making me depressed. It's just been pouring and pouring, you'd think there'd be no rain left by now!

I've always loved the Boyfriend jeans look, however i was too afraid i wouldn't be able to pull it of to actually buy a pair. Also, the ones i've tried on never really seemed to fight right, mostly they just hung off me like a sack - not very flattering. I am determined though to find a pair this year - and to actually wear it. Wearing the same old super-skinny jeans day in day is getting kinda boring so i'm trying to be a bit more experimental in the pants department this spring. we'll see how that goes.

Chucks. What can i say, they're probably my favourite shoes ever and i basically live in them during the spring and summer time. My white pair from last year is still looking surprisingly good so i'm thinking of getting coloured low-top ones for a bit of a change. And how gorgeous is that pinky-coral shade.

One thing i'm seriously looking forward to is not having to wear my super thick coat anymore. While i do love my Zara coat to pieces, i can't wait to wear my leather jacket again - or simply just a sweatshirt like the one on the picture. I know, i know, it's only february- but a girl can dream right?

Another thing i can't wait to wear more of again are colourful clothes. I know i could be wearing colours at the moment but during the fall and especially the winter i find myself gravitating more towards dark, warm colours that make me feel all cozy. Light, flowy tops and bright accessories just scream spring to me!

I've fallen in love with this Staring at Stars dress from urbanoutfitters, and i might just get it as it's on sale right now even if i'll probably only be able to wear it in like 4 months time.

What are your favourite spring clothing items?

This will probably be the last post for a week as i'm going snowboarding with my family. Skiing holidays are like my favourite holidays of the year so i'm super excited!

Zweibrücken - The Fashion Outlets

 Chocolates - Lindt
Vitamin E face mask, Aloe face wash, facial brush - The Body Shop
 Shorts & Sweatpants - Nike
Top, Skirt & Cardigan - All Saints

We went to this huge fashion outlet in Zweibrücken last saturday and i was amazed at how reduced the prices actually were! I did get quite a lot of things that I'm pretty excited about,so i thought I'd share with you what i bought.

The first store we went to was nike. I've always wanted a pair of those running shorts that are not too short but always found them to be too expensive-not an issue here. Usually sports shorts tend to be really short on me,not these ones!they're just the perfect length.
Same thing goes for jogging pants; the ones you find at h&m or similar shops are never long enough for my legs. These were reduced to 17€ - such a bargain!

All Saint was probably the brand I was most excited about, and rightly so. The clothes there were already extremely cheap compared to what you'd normally have to pay and they had an extra 30% on everything. I love love love the three things i got!

The Lindt store was absolutely crazy. So many different kinds of chocolat, i was in paradise.
I initially had about 10 different chocolates in my arms but ended up "only" buying these 4. Lindt is the best chocolate in my opinion, if you want something a bit more special. So freaking delicious!

I went into The Body Shop with the intention of buying a Christmas gift for my stepsister - and left with three skincare things for myself i didn't actually need. This seems to always happen when i enter any kind of body & skincare or makeup related shop. I do like the three products i got but don't find them to be mind blowing

Overall, I can only recommend this outlet, they have stores of all different price ranges and I do believe there's something for everyone!

modern love

T-Shirt - Mango/Skirt - Comptoir des Cotonniers/Tights - Woolford/Boots - All Saints

I just can't believe that the weekend is already almost over! It went by fast and I'm not sure if I'm ready to face the 5 tests I'll have to write next week. urgh. That being said, I am kind of looking forward to next week - all saints holidays are just around the corner!

This is what I wore on saturday, when I went to the city with my stepsister. The weather was absolutely stunning and it was such a good day overall. We just talked about everything and nothing, had some really delicious food (coffee lounge again - bagel, hazelnut macchiato and half a blueberry muffin.yum!) and walked around the shops for a bit.

I hadn't worn this skirt in almost two years - so I guess it was about time I did! I've had these shoes for 3 years now, and every year they're probably my most worn pair of booties. They are starting to look a bit too worn out so I might have to invest in a new pair of a similar style next year.

I finally figured out how to keep the quality of my pictures (almost) the same when I upload them to blogger. Yay!

Anyways, I'll watch the new episode of Vampire Diaries now and then probably go to bed quite early - big biology test tomorrow!

New Balance

sneakers - New Balance

Initially, I went to Cologne with the intention of buying a new pair of sports shoes as I haven't actually owned my own pair for 5 years. That was when my feet grew to be the same size as my mum's and she gave me her old ones.
Until now, I haven't really needed a pair, I don't go for runs very often (or never) and there's no space in my school bag to take some, so I always use my normal sneakers in sports. As I've started to go to the gym now, I thought maybe now would be the time to finally own some sports shoes that actually fit me (my feet are no longer the same size as my mum's, but one size larger).

Well, the reason why I didn't end up buying sports shoes are these New Balance sneakers. I saw them at a shop called Kauf Dich Glücklich and instantly fell in love with them. My mum made me choose between an actual pair of sports shoes and these sneakers..I guess my decision is obvious.
They didn't have them in my size though, so the first thing I did when I got up the next day was order them on Zalando.

I absolutely love getting clothes I've ordered online cause it always kind of feels as if I'm receiving a gift (even if I've paid for half of it).
These shoes are sooo comfortable and they go with almost all of my fall clothes.

Have I already mentioned that I'm in love with these shoes?

Back To School

Cardigan - Kauf Dich Glücklich/Bouse - Minkpink/Leggings - Zara/Shoes - Converse/ Bracelet - Gift from Cuba/ Necklace - Thomas Sabo

School started again today. As if to underline the way most of us probably felt about that, the weather was pretty depressing itself. What the hell is going on? It went from 30 to 15°C in no time and now it feels pretty much like winter's just around the corner. Sebtember's supposed to be fall, goddamnit.

Well, enough about the weather, this is what i wore today. It's still just warm enough to be able to wear this cardigan as a jacket, so I had to take advantage of it. Who knows how long it's gonn...I really should stop talking about the weather.

I'm freaking obsessed with this jacket, it's long, cozy, keeps you warmer than it might look like and I think it adds a bit of edge to the outfit.
I wanted the cardigan to really be the focus of the outfit, so I kept the rest pretty simple with an all-black ensemble. Too get some lighter colour into the outfit, I wore my white converse, which are my absolute favourite sneakers.
The jewellery's basically what i wear everyday.

School was much better than I'd expected, my class isn't far as horrible as I thought, they all seem to be pretty nice. We also got the Biology and Physics teachers I wanted and I couldn't have been more happy. They are seriously amazing, they're the kind of teachers that can really get you excited for a subject. I don't know many of my teachers so we'll see how that goes, but so far they seem to be alright.

I wasn't glad for school to start again at all this year. Only two of my best friends are in the same class as me and I'm scared what's gonna happen two my group of friends - we've never not been in the same class. also, I basically chose the most difficult section, so i'll have to make a big effort to keep up to my own expectations.
But even after only one day of school, I can feel myself getting really excited for the new school year. It might seem crazy but i actually do enjoy going to school - i love learning new things, and I think I actually missed subjects like Biology, Physics, Chemistry and German while i was in Australia. This enthusiasm is definitely not gonna last but for now it's there, and that's all that counts hey?
Before you think I'm a complete nerd I'lll probably better shut up. Don't worry, I can guarantee you that in less than a month my motivation will be loong gone.

I also had my first piano lesson in 9 months today, I missed this so much! So looking forward to having Jazz Dance practice again from tomorrow on.

Although I know that we in Luxembourg are pretty much the last students in the northern hemisphere to be starting school again I still hope you had a nice first day at school - as nice as that can be at least.

P.S. I have no bloody idea what's going on with my camera - sometimes the quality is pretty good and then others it's just crap. I have no idea why this happens but I might have to wish for a new one for my Birthday/Christmas - even though I really like this one.

Cologne Haul

It's become like a family tradition to go to Cologne in the fall to do some shopping. Every single year, my brother joins us, and every single time he seems to forget that we're there to go shopping, so he gets annoyed after we've only been to like 3-4 shops. It's alright though cause we split up after a few shops anyways, noticing it just takes far too long if we stay together so my brother goes with my stepdad and everything's fine.
I love shopping in Germany, the people in the shops are so much friendlier than in Luxembourg and the shops in general are much more up my alley.

Jeans - Cheap Monday

The first shop I go to whenever I'm in Cologne, without a failure, is always Weekday. First of all, they carry Cheap Monday jeans, which are basically one of the only two brands of Jeans I ever wear. I already have two black pairs and a dark blue one so this time I opted for a dark grey pair. I just freaking love the way these fit, they're high waisted, skin tight, and with the different lengths never too long or short.

Knit Sweater - MTWTFSS Weekday

The second thing I bought at Weekday was a dark purple, chunky knit sweater. Because I went on my exchange to Australia last January, I didn't buy many sweaters last winter (trying to save money), so now I definitely need a few new ones. This one is pretty long and very loose so it'll look great with leggings or skinny jeans.
I'm sure I could've bought more in that shop, but the interior design, depressing music(in my opinion) and the way it is set up overwhelms me every time and I end up leaving before I've even looked through everything. I really wish they had less clothes in there or displayed them differently.

Boots - Vagabond

One thing I definitely wanted to buy in Cologne were some fall booties and i immediately fell in love with these ones! As they have a small heel, I wasn't completely sure whether or not I should buy them as my staple fall boots, but I'm so glad I did! Because of the platform, they're extremely comfortable and the chunky heel just adds something a bit different to every outfit.

Next we went to Peek & Cloppenburg, which is a huge store that carries a ton of different brands.
It's always an issue for me to find a winter coat that i actually like: too long, too short, too wide, too much fur, or the wrong shade of khaki- I always seem to find something I don't like about it. This time though, I found a coat I really liked after only 5 minutes - you should've seen the look on my mother's face.
I initially wanted a parka or a woolen coat - well, this is neither. It's a weird hybrid of a leather jacket, a parka and sheepskin, and probably not everyone's cup of tea but I really like the way it looks, it's not too sporty, still casual.

Backpack - Bellfield

When we were going towards the cashier's to pay for my jacket, I saw this backpack and thought it'd be perfect for school! The pattern on the front pocket is just soo cute and this will be a nice change on those days were I don't feel like carrying a bag.

I saw this little boutique called Kauf Dich Glücklich at the very beginning of our trip and I simply had to go in because of the name. It literally means buy yourself happy - how adorable is that?
They have the cutest clothes ever, i only wish they were a bit cheaper so I could've bought more.
The one thing I bought was this dark grey/black cardigan, I just fell in love withe way this looks on. I'll definitely do an Outfit of the Day with this soon!
You should definitely check out their online shop if you live in Europe.

I am so happy with everything I got and I'm sure I'll be wearing some of these pieces religiously.

Black is a colour

Blouse Minkpink / Skirt H&M / Boots Mjus / Bracelet Present / Bag Handmade, from Antalya / Lipstick L'oréal rouge caresse in Rock'n Mauve

I went to the annual wine festival held about 30 minutes from where I live yesterday evening, and I really wanted to wear my black skater skirt, after two weeks of practically living in hiking clothes.

However, the weather has changed quite drastically in the last few days, and it does get quite chilly in the evenings now (is summer really already over?). I took this as an opportunity to pull out my beloved black booties from last winter, which I haven't worn in over 8 months.

I love the black sheer blouse in combination with the skirt, even if I exchanged it for a sweater just before I left (thank god, I would have been freezing).
The (kinda)bright lipstick was an attempt to bring some colour into my otherwise completely black outfit. I just love that shade of purple!
My obsession with lipstick continues to grow - 6 months ago I didn't even own a single lipstick and now I just keep on buying new shades.

I got the bag in a tiny shop in Antalya, and I just love the fact that it's handmade, so I'm sure to never see anybody with the same handbag as me. Also, it's just the perfect size to me, it fits everything I need on a regular basis without being huge.

I'm off to the movies now to see the One Direction movie (just one of my maany guilty pleasures). next week is already the last week before school starts again and while I'm (somewhat) excited for the new school year and all the changes it brings, I just can't get over the fact that this perfect summer is coming to an end (flames to dust, lovers to friends,...).
